A KID’S PERSPECTIVE
The reason divorce isn’t that great for many kids is because you have to go back and forth from one parent’s house to the other parent’s house instead of staying in one place.
Another reason is you have to make new friends and you have to get new furniture, new clothes, and maybe a new pet. Sometimes parents try to tell you it can be fun to get double of everything. But, I don’t think so because kids get attached to their favorite things and they usually can’t take them to each parents’ house.
Also summer camp – one parent wants their kids to go to one camp, while the other wants to take them to a different camp and the child only wants to go to one of the camps. Sometimes the other parent gets upset that the child didn’t choose the camp they wanted them to go to.
So these are just some of the things that me and other kids don’t like about divorce.
